The revolt against the political regime in Portugal took the form of an outcry from women regarding liberation. They demanded that all divisions should be abolished, physical as well as psychological, between male and female, masters and servants, dominant parents and helpless children and between lovers who were separated by forces beyond their control. This should not only happen by altering women's consciousness, but by changing the exploitative social order that made women remain "the last colonial territory. (it) |
