So I started thinking about something like LSD as a catalyst. See, it doesn't create these experiences but it makes them accessible. With this kind of understanding LSD becomes comparable to what the microscope is for biology or medicine, or what the telescope is for astronomy. You know, we don't think that the microscope creates worlds that are not there. It's something that is already there, but we cannot study it without the tool. The same... the telescope cannot create all the billions of galaxies. Obviously they have been there, but we need the telescope to study them. (it) |
