We see people die by the thousands every year in series television. The people who are related to these people get over it in a matter of minutes. people talk about their recently deceased loved ones as though it was like something they saw on television. I like the fact that that's been a running motif almost in this show, that this death has affected this place, and it's particularly affected the family. And that's a rare thing and a breakthrough, and something I consider an advancement for television.
