In my country, we had to do something about the nearly 70 thousand killings and countless violent crimes that annually tore apart the Brazilian population. Life is the most basic human right. Our policemen were the preferred target of crime. Only in 2017, around 400 policemen were brutally murdered. This is changing. Measures were implemented and we managed to cut murder rates in more than 20% in the first six months of my government. The seizure of cocaine and other drugs has reached a record high. (en) |
